Nigeria's Odion Ighalo becomes England's highest goalscorer in the year 2015

Watford striker Odion Ighalo continued his unbelievable season in the Premier League on Saturday, as the 26-year-old Nigerian international opened the scoring against Aston Villa. The Super Eagles striker now has to his credit, some amazing stats. Ighalo has been directly involved in 10 of the 13 Premier League goals Watford have scored this season. That’s 77% of the goals.

Moreover, Ighalo has now scored eight goals in the Premier League this season, while his tally in 2015 is awesome. Alongside Harry Kane of Tottenham , Ighalo has now scored 24 goals in the calendar year: which is the highest amount of goals of any footballer in the top four flights of English football. Wow!

Tyson Fury is the new heavyweight champion of the world after defeating Wladimir Klitschko

Englishman Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous points decision on a sensational night in Germany
The 27-year-old shone throughout the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight title bout in Dusseldorf on Saturday night
Fury didn't allow Klitschko to settle and the Ukrainian looked rattled, refusing to throw his right hand properly.
The Mancunian – a 4/1 underdog – baffled Klitschko with a measured fight in which he utilised his height and youth
For Fury there is now the prospect of a huge unification bout with American holder of the WBC title, Deontay Wilder

Tyson Fury ended the decade-long reign of the great Wladimir Klitschko with a display of astonishing nerve and virtuosity – just as he said he would.

The 27-year-old Mancunian giant made the near-40-year-old Klitschko look slow and old with elusive daring, his impudent taunting and, above all, with his quickness of hand and foot.

Information on COTTO VERSUS ALVAREZ

Saturday's clash between Miguel Cotto and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is perhaps the biggest fight in boxing since Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s retirement, and due largely to that notion, both combatants will be compensated quite handsomely.
According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission (via ESPN.com'sDan Rafael), Cotto will make a purse of $15 million, while Alvarez is set to bring home $5 million. In addition to that, Canelo figures to earn even more based on revenue from Mexican television.
Although it can be argued the 25-year-old Alvarez is a bigger international star than the 35-year-old Cotto, the latter is the champion, and he will defend both the Lineal and The Ring Middleweight Championships.
The World Boxing Council Middleweight title will be on the line as well, but Cotto will be forced to vacate it if he wins. Per Rafael, the WBC released a statement regarding the decision, and while it didn't provide a specific reason, reports suggest that the Puerto Rican star refused to pay a $300,000 sanctioning fee:
After several weeks of communications, countless attempts and good faith time extensions trying to preserve the fight as a WBC world championship, Miguel Cotto and his promotion (Roc Nation Sports) did not agree to comply with the WBC rules and regulations, while Saul Alvarez has agreed to do so. Accordingly, the WBC must rule on the matter prior to the fight. The WBC hereby announces that effective immediately it has withdrawn recognition of Miguel Cotto as WBC world middleweight champion.
It can be argued the WBC situation takes some shine away from the massive fight, but it certainly didn't seem to impact Cotto's payday.
The 40-4 Cotto has lost bouts to Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in the past, and taking on Canelo promises to be one of the biggest challenges of his career.
Alvarez is an impressive 45-1-1 with his only loss coming at the hands of Mayweather. His star faded a bit after that loss, as evidenced by where his purse stands in comparison to Cotto's, but the Mexican fan favorite will have a golden opportunity to reach the top of the sport once again Saturday.

Our Chief Tipper gives his Opinion/tips for tonight's Bout.

Wladimir Klitschko v Tyson Fury betting tips – Dr Steelhammer to issue reality check to Fury

Tyson Fury has vowed to end the reign of world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko when they face in Dusseldorf, Germany on November 28 – but by the end of the night he will be just another victim of dominant Dr Steelhammer.

William Hill Fight Odds: 1/4 Wladimir Klitschko; 10/3 Tyson Fury

Fury was originally scheduled to face IBF, WBO and IBO kingpin Klitschko back on October 24, but the fight had to be postponed after the champion suffered a calf injury during training. However, the 27-year-old Mancunian will get his shot at glory at the end of November, and he has vowed to end “old man” Klitschko’s long-running reign over the heavyweight division.

“I am sure that once I've flattened you, your brother might come out of retirement and fight me as well,” Fury told Klitschko during their face-to-face encounter on Sky Sports’ The Gloves Are Off broadcast. “So who knows where this journey takes me? But first off it's Dusseldorf and Wladimir Klitschko. He's going to sleep.
“The key factor here for me is your age. My ability is going to make your age catch up with you. No matter how hard you train, how good you feel, you can't compete with young athletes. There is a saying that old people say: the mind is willing but the body isn't able. You are going to learn what a young man does to an old man and I don't have to be the best fighter in the world to beat an old man.”

Of course, Klitschko insists that will not be the case on November 28 and he has even gone as far as claiming Fury is not even then best heavyweight fighter in England, let alone one of the best on the planet.

“I fought David Haye and I've sparred [Anthony] Joshua and David Haye would have knocked Tyson Fury out if he had taken that fight,” Klitschko said earlier this month. “It was not easy against Haye. Haye was fast with his hands and footwork, it was extremely complicated to hit him. Anthony Joshua is still raw but improved a lot so I think he would (beat Fury), yes. He would win that fight too.”

Klitschko is the bookmakers’ favourite with William Hill offering 1/4 about him winning this world title fight, while Fury is a 10/3 underdog as he looks to do what fellow Briton Haye could not do, dethrone the Ukrainian. That price about a Klitschko win does not surprise me in the slightest and I fully expect to hear the words “and still” when the winner is announced.

The champion has made the most of his size advantage over opponents during his reign, working behind the jab to grind them down and – ultimately – break them. However, on this occasion Klitschko will be the shorter man, by three inches, with his 81 inch reach four inches shorter than the challenger’s.

That will not matter though. When it comes to skillsets Klitschko is light years ahead of Fury, and the challenger will not be able to deal with the champion’s power. Fury was dropped by Steve Cunningham – a natural cruiserweight – when they fought in 2013, so it is hard to see him living with the power in Klitschko’s hands. Dr Steelhammer has saide he will give the challenger some “therapy” in Dusseldorf, and I expect it to be decisive and clinical.
